Description:
Hi, I’m happy to share with you my Beacon Walking Lab. Hour long classes that will guide you to explore and discover easy, fluid movement while walking.
These restorative walks take place outdoors and are lead through The Alexander Technique practice. If you give them a go, you’ll re-learn walking and see it’s more than feet and muscles, it’s a whole-body movement which integrates your mind and body.
Also, these walks are empowering because you’ll learn how to pause, notice your own walking tendencies, and have an opportunity to transform them. You’ll subtract unnecessary tension or effort to reconnect to an underlying ease that’s always been there.
At the same time, you’re getting to know yourself better! We explore body mapping anatomy, breathing in movement, balancing awareness, and how to find support from your senses and environment while walking.
Join me on Beacon Walking Lab, you’ll see that it's not just about counting steps; it's about how you move through each one.

Exercise for Better Balance is an easygoing movement
chair class to deepen body awareness and explore
injury-free movement.
Discover a newfound freedom in movement while still feeling safe and supported. This restorative chair class begins with a gentle warm up integrating breath awareness and then moves through whole body movement sequences from smaller to larger while seated. We then learn how to go from sitting to standing with ease and while standing explore balancing coordination. Brain Gym movement sequences are incorporated for unifying the left/right side of the brain/body supporting organized movement. You’ll leave the class feeling embodied and with new tools to bring freedom to activities of your daily life.
This class is taught through the Alexander Technique, Body Mapping and Brain Gym processes.
